Virtual Live Public Auction terms

Buyer's premium: 13%

  • We are open Monday–Friday 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM for preview.
  • You will receive invoices upon the close of the auction for your winning bids. Pickup and in-person payment begin the Monday following the sale at 7:00 AM.
  • Items must be paid for by 3:30 PM on the Tuesday following the sale and picked up by 3:30 PM Thursday following the sale.
  • Sales tax: 9.1%, applied to the hammer price and buyer's premium.
  • Payment options: Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, cashier's check, wire transfer, debit card, and cash. We do not accept personal or business checks. A 3% fee is added to any credit or debit card payment; cards are accepted in person only.
  • A $25.00 storage fee per vehicle and palletized miscellaneous lot is charged per day for items not paid for by the Tuesday following the auction.
  • In the event of a customer withdrawing payment on an item, a 13% restocking fee applies and all online bidding privileges are revoked.

Online Miscellaneous Auction terms

Online buyer's premium: 15%

  • Items must be paid for and picked up by 3:30 PM on the Friday following the sale, or by the terms stated in the individual sale.
  • Sales tax: 9.1%, applied to the hammer price and buyer's premium.
  • Payment options: Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, cashier's check, wire transfer, debit card, and cash. We do not accept personal or business checks. A 3% fee is added to any credit or debit card payment; cards are accepted in person only.
  • A $25.00 storage fee per vehicle and palletized miscellaneous lot is charged per day for items not paid for by those auction terms.
  • In the event of a customer withdrawing payment on an item, a 15% restocking fee applies and all online bidding privileges are revoked.

Notice

All items have been available for preview prior to the auction. Everything is sold AS-IS, not expressly warranted or guaranteed.

WSM is a 28-4410.01 public consignment auction dealer and is by law exempt from the following:

  1. An implied warranty of merchantability described in section 28-4412, subsection B and section 44-1267.
  2. An emissions inspection pursuant to section 49-542, subsection D.

Vehicles are not guaranteed to pass vehicle emissions inspections. All vehicles purchased may have to be re-inspected at the buyer's expense before registration. Neither the seller nor WSM is responsible for any expenses incurred after the auction. All sales are final. No refunds or exchanges.

Bidding

  • Western Sales Management will not be responsible for any missed bids from any source. Internet bidders who want to make certain their bid is acknowledged should use the proxy-bidding feature and leave their maximum bid 24 hours before the auction begins.
  • Western Sales Management shall designate the winning bidder after each item is auctioned. If a dispute arises between two or more bidders, Western Sales Management reserves the right to reopen the bidding. Western Sales Management's designation of a buyer shall be final.
  • Western Sales Management reserves the right to withdraw or re-catalog items in any auction.
